Social Services

Our Approach to Helping

We work as partners to walk alongside the person who is dealing with life’s challenges.  Together we create an individual service plan which defines their objectives and goals. We believe that each person has strengths and we work to encourage, support, and empower people to overcome their difficulties and improve their lives.

We network with other advocates, health and social service providers, agencies, charitable organizations and community group  to make help easier to access for our community residents.

Meet Our Social Worker

Loretta (Retta) Murphy has recently joined Neighborhood Connections as a full-time Social Worker.

Some may know her from her time as a School Counselor at Flood Brook School or as a school clinician at Chester-Andover. She is also a past Director of Dismas House,

Retta's primary role here is to provide guidance to individuals and families seeking assistance. She connects clients to a wide range of resources within the local and regional communities - coordinating with multiple local partners. In addition she organizes and promotes social events and connections for seniors as well as other groups within our communities.
