As part of the Community Care Initiative, we are assembling a Friendly Visitors Program whereby volunteers on a regular basis visit the home-bound for regular social interaction. Friendly Visitors share hobbies, help organize paperwork, encourage exercise if appropriate, drive people to complete necessary errands such as grocery shopping and banking and provide respite to caregivers. Interested? Please contact us at 824-4343.
Neighborhood Connections is delighted to announce the arrival of a new Executive Director. Trisha, previously with Lincoln Street, Inc., a Springfield-based non-profit, is a Southern Vermont native. Over the past 16 years she has worked in both the medical and human services fields - operating in a variety of roles.
She began her career at The Memory Clinic in Bennington where she served in a variety of capacities including business management and clinical research. She then joined Lincoln Street - which provides individualized care to people with intellectual disabilities.
Come by and welcome her to the Neighborhood!
